I am Eddie Villalba! Professionally I am an Enterprise Application Modernization Architect for Google Cloud. My responsibilities include consulting with Google’s most strategic customers in North America on Cloud Native Microservice and DevOps using Container Orchestration technologies and following Cloud Native Computing patterns and practices.

Previously, I held senior technical roles over an 11 year tenure at Microsoft. My experience in Enterprise Architecture Design, Distributed Systems Design and Data Center modernization have allowed me to work with many of the Forbes 100 Companies and US Federal Government Agencies developing strategic Software Delivery and Life Cycle plans and implementations. For the last 3 years as the Principal Software Engineer Lead, I led a Software Development team focusing on fast tracking customer projects to cloud native processes and cloud delivery. I Joined Google in September of 2019 and the Technical Lead for the Application Solutions team in North America.

I am a co-Author for O’Reilly Press Kubernetes Best Practices which has been translated to Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

Personally, I live in the suburbs of Austin Texas with my wife, daughter and our 2 pups Bear and Atreyu. When not working on Cloud, I can be found in the Clouds flying around the Central Texas skies earning my Private Pilot’s Certificate.
